Ras Al Khaimah Executive » reviews the improvement of electronic services. The Executive Council of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah held its first regular meeting for the year 2017, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, Chairman of the Council. At the beginning of its session, the Council approved the minutes of its previous meeting and reviewed the topics on its related to the development of public projects, upgrading the level of government services, customer happiness, strengthening the legislative system and improving the competitive environment. The Council reviewed the report of the Electronic and Smart Transformation Committee, where the progress of work in many technical projects, indicators of operation of the call center, the establishment of electronic security standards and the expansion of the available electronic and smart services system were followed. The Council directed to intensify cooperation and coordination between all concerned parties to ensure the speed and quality of completion of these projects in a way that enhances the position of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in technical uses and digital transformation and keeps pace with modern trends in smart government work to achieve the best services for customers with the government. He also directed the implementation of the training and awareness plan in the field of information security for all concerned in accordance with objective standards and requirements. The Council approved the electronic payment system «SADAD» to provide an electronic channel to facilitate the process of paying government fees and directed that all government agencies join this system during the coming period. In the area of strengthening the legislative system, the Council approved the referral of draft laws to the competent legal committee in the Courts Department in cooperation with the Government’s legal adviser. In this context, he directed to refer the two draft laws on the seizure, deposit and disposal of vehicles and the organization of electronic documents and signatures for discussion and submission to the Executive Council, and directed the Municipality Department to prepare a law to update the land sorting law in cooperation and coordination with the Legal Committee. The Council reviewed the memorandum submitted by the Department of Civil Aviation on the collection of fees for the use of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport facilities from passengers. In this regard, the Council approved the collection of the fee in order to develop the services provided to passengers, provide the best facilities and technologies, raise the efficiency of air safety and security, and accommodate the growing demand for travel.
