RAK EGA

About Electronic Government Authority

The idea behind Electronic Government Authority in Ras Al Khaimah was inspired and envisioned as early as 2004 by H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr al-Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and was given life with the Emiri Decree no. 4 / 2004.

The decree established the Electronic Government Authority as a separate entity officially charged with organizing all matters related to information technology, executing and overseeing all related projects in the Emirate, and supervising such projects with the objective of enhancing the level of government services through the use of modern technology, while enabling the IT infrastructure required. RAK EGA’s mission behind this is to increase effectiveness and efficiency of government operations and services through automation in order to improve the quality of life and competitiveness of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

RAK EGA is committed to providing the best levels of e-services to fulfill the needs of its customers. These e-services are split into three categories:

  • Digital G2C Services for members of the society including nationals, residents, and visitors.
  • Digital G2B Services for Businesses, serving businesses established in RAK and RAK-based investors and businessmen.
  • Digital G2G Services for Government Departments in Ras Al Khaimah.

All the e-services are made available through the online portal of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah (www.rak.ae) as a unified platform for all e-services in the Emirate, while smart services are made available through the smart app mRAK.
