A number of leaders of government institutions in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, representing various governmental and local departments and institutions in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, participated in a workshop organized by the Ras Al Khaimah government to discuss government agencies’ adoption of a policy of modern technical solutions. In the field of government work in line with development and modernization to reflect the good reputation of the state and the renaissance it is witnessing in all fields and development in the field of government work in particular, it was entitled “Best Practices in Developing Government Policies” within the Ras Al Khaimah Government Executive Leadership Forum. The workshop, which was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, in Ras Al Khaimah, was opened by Dr. Nasser Jabnoun, Deputy Director General for Government Development Affairs, and delivered by His Excellency Walid Tabanji, the Senior Advisor in the Office of His Highness the Ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, with the aim of reviewing the best practices and systems applied in the field of work. Government and adopting the latest standards in the field of information and communications technology in view of the vital role this sector plays in providing sustainable job opportunities and enhancing competitive performance. During the workshop, Al-Tabanji addressed many topics, including introducing the concepts of policy and strategy and their role in determining the general goals and objectives, guiding principles and vision for the future required. The role of strategy in setting policies, the strategic approach to designing and implementing development policies, and other topics were reviewed and explained in detail to the attendees, and the door to dialogue and discussion was opened at the end of the workshop. Jabnoun said that the workshop discussed the great challenges of best practices with the aim of strengthening the role played by all government agencies in accordance with plans and policies that define priorities and requirements for modernization and development that contribute to the process of improving services provided to society, stressing their keenness to invite all concerned to participate effectively and continuously in all workshops with the aim of learning To discuss developments, exchange experiences, and enhance cooperation and partnership between everyone.
