The Centralized Telecommunications Project is one of RAK EGA’s initiatives to leverage advanced technologies in order to empower government departments to improve the quality of their operations and enable smart solutions in the workplace for employees and management to stay connected efficiently. As such, RAK EGA was keen to partner with industry leader Avaya to implement advanced telecommunication solutions to enable remote conferencing across all channels and all types of devices including computers, tablets, and smart phones in a rapid, easy, efficient and effective manner.

The project was implemented at RAK Courts and Public Prosecution departments to enable video conferencing for court hearings (e-trials) or to affect legal marriage procedures. It was also applied at RAK Municipality to allow engineers and consultants to transmit changes to documents through an online communication platform, reducing the need for physical travel to government offices.
