RAK EGA works closely with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) on the Digital Signatures project and integrating it into the government operations of Ras Al Khaimah. The project is split into two phases:

• The first phase includes the activation of a single sign-on customer identification through which users can easily access all government services all across the UAE using a single account. This is considered part of the UAE Smart Government National Plan initiative.
• The second phase includes the activation of digital signatures for government services whereby users can sign their transactions digitally without having to appear in person at the government departments.
