After His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, declared 2017 in the UAE as the Year of Giving, it is a continuation of the approach and path of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God have mercy on him,” in serving humanity and helping those in need in various parts of the earth. As a translation of this, the e-Government Authority formed the “In the Footsteps of Charitable People” team, which is concerned with consolidating charitable values ​​and ethics for its employees. His Excellency Engineer Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Sayyah Al-Nuaimi – Director General of the Electronic Government Authority – stated that God, whose wisdom is great and whose mercy is extensive, has commanded us to do good. God Almighty said: (And do good that you may succeed) just as He urged us to hasten to do good and take the initiative to do it. God Almighty said: (So ​​race with good deeds.) One of the supplications of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was: “Oh God, I ask you to do good deeds.” Doing good does not only mean carrying out charitable and community initiatives, but also instilling values ​​and morals in the souls of individuals, so that goodness remains a permanent badge and that we make the year 2017 a sign of goodness for the years to come.
