Launching electronic registration services for discrimination appeals

As part of the courts’ strategy for electronic transformation and paperless courts, the Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department launched “electronic registration services for discrimination appeals” in cooperation with the E-Government Authority. This came during a ceremony held at the Hilton Resort and Spa Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah and attended by His Excellency Counselor Ahmed Al Khatri, Head of the Courts Department and His Excellency Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Sayyah, Director General of the E-Government Authority, and a group of directors and officials. The launch targeted lawyers’ offices as a strategic partner in the process of electronic transformation and the use of modern technologies. On this occasion, His Excellency Ahmed bin Saeed Al Sayyah, Director General of the E-Government Authority, said, “The E-Government Authority meets the emirate’s strategic directions in electronic and smart transformation and harnesses for this purpose all technical and human resources and uses the latest technologies in cooperation and integration with government departments and bodies. For his part, Counselor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, Head of the Courts Department, said: Electronic registration services for discrimination appeals come within the department’s work plan for electronic transformation, pointing out that these services would facilitate the completion of transactions for lawyers and reduce time and effort. His Excellency also praised the team that accomplished this important stage of the electronic transformation, which comes In line with the Ras Al Khaimah government’s approach to smart transformation, the ceremony included a presentation on the electronic registration services for cassation appeals, which are submitted through the Courts Department website or the Ras Al Khaimah Government e-portal. These services allow lawyers to register cassation appeals from their offices without being present at the Department. Courts and without the need for human scrutiny, as these services are designed to shorten the lawyers’ journey and simplify the procedures, so that the services guide the lawyers in the procedures for registering the appeal and calculating the fees in an intelligent manner according to the appeal data. After paying the fees electronically, the appeal is recorded directly in the electronic appeals register, and the appeal is archived on the electronic system of the courts without No interference from court employees.
