The Electronic Government Authority of Ras Al Khaimah (EGA) and the international company of SAP signed a partnership agreement to design and create business solutions. The EGA and SAP seek to make joint efforts to provide training opportunities as part of the SAP’s professional program for citizens, which was designed to attract promising national talents and engage them in the work market, and train them to develop their skills in various fields such as business management, information technology and leadership skills. This program is designed to enable UAE national graduates to obtain enrollment certificates in SAP, which will help them find the best job opportunities in the IT sector.

Eng. Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Sayyah, General Manager of EGA said that based on the directives of HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, may Allah protect him, and the follow-up of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, and in order to qualify national cadres on the use of modern technologies in line with the application of modern systems that have been implemented in the local departments in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, which are considered integrated systems using SAP Technology, we signed a partnership agreement with SAP for the qualifying of national talents and training them on the distinct technical skills such as using SAP systems in order to provide support to departments and institutions working on this technology. It will also allow us to move forward in supporting and improving the systems currently in place, as well as adding new enhancements to them, and national cadres will play an active role in the transition to a smart government. He also added that the training program is designed to give the trainees work experience on projects, as it includes all the required functional skills from negotiation skills and how to communicate effectively, through to the innovative design of systems, pointing out that this initiative will give all its members enrollment certificates to the program launched by SAP in the filed of business design and solutions.

From her side, Marita Mitschein, first deputy of the head of strategic investments at SAP company, and Managing Director of SAP Training & Development Institute, said that she was proud to cooperate with the EGA, and what such cooperation represents in support of future national human resources, and added: “Information Technology and Communication Accelerate Innovation in many sectors, which leads to increased competitiveness between companies and thus create new jobs”. The program offers full training on SAP software and solutions, in particular the ‘HANA’ platform and institutional resources planning systems and mobile devices and smartphones solutions. The program also combines technical certificates, design thinking skills, project management, effective communication, and lecture and presentation skills.
Candidates
Graduates of IT departments, Business Systems Management and Computer Engineering are the perfect candidates selected from various state universities. Candidates will also be subjected to different cognitive tests, such as counseling, lectures, group activities, and other interviews.
