Emirati Women’s Day

The Electronic Government Authority organized various activities to celebrate Emirati Women’s Day, which falls on the twenty-eighth of August every year, under the slogan “Women are a symbol of tolerance,” coinciding with the country’s initiative to make 2019 the year of tolerance. During the event, a dialogue session was held to shed light on the role of wise leadership in empowering Emirati women, and Dr. Khaleda Gharib and Professor Asmaa Al Harami were hosted to review their pioneering professional careers and personal experiences full of successes, and to stop at the most important milestones and challenges in their academic and professional journeys. They were also hosted A group of mothers from the Emirates Autism Society, to talk about the most important characteristics and skills that an Emirati girl must possess to enter the family field with confidence, and to overcome the challenges she may face in raising children. The session included discussions and inquiries directed by the Authority’s female employees present, focusing on the elements of Emirati women’s excellence in institutional work, in order to achieve a balance between family and work life. Such events stem from the Authority’s keenness to advance female employees by qualifying them and giving them more confidence in their abilities through support, motivation and encouragement. With distinguished programs, and creating a work environment that contributes to their happiness and enhances their role in their work journey.
